Wizard duels built on spell combos, timing and talent builds.
Hogwarts Legacy's combat was an action-RPG take on wizard dueling: a four-spell hotbar, Protego and Stupefy counters, and elemental synergies between spells. Hogwarts Legacy 2 will presumably evolve this system rather than replace it.
The first game rewarded crowd control: Levioso plus Descendo, Incendio on frozen enemies, and Petrificus Totalus from stealth for instant takedowns. Talents let players specialize in spellcasting, stealth or a "dark arts" build.
For the sequel, fans expect deeper enemy variety, more meaningful boss fights and expanded spell synergy — especially if the story explores the darker corners of the Wizarding World.
Chain spells for bonus damage — Levioso into Descendo, or Incendio into Diffindo — with elemental reactions between them.
Protego parries and Stupefy counters keep duels fast and reactive; perfect timing is the skill ceiling.
Petrificus Totalus and Disillusionment enable full stealth clears — a playstyle the sequel could expand with dedicated stealth missions.
Specialize in spellcasting, stealth or the Dark Arts — each talent tree reshapes how encounters play out.
